European Commission

Framework Programme Projects

Prof. Dr. Asuman Doğaç is the first researcher in Turkey to have an R&D project from the European Commission's Framework Programmes (FP), when Turkey was not even part of the FP.

Since then, we have coordinated and participated in several FP5, FP6, FP7 and H2020 projects.

We have been listed by TÜBİTAK as the company having the highest number of European R&D projects with the highest community contribution in Turkey in 2011 and 2012.

We have been ranked by the European Commission as the most successful Turkish SME in Turkey in both FP7 and H2020 programmes.

TÜBİTAK Projects

We developed our generic interoperability testing framework TestBATN as a result of our first TÜBİTAK project that is oriented towards new SMEs.

We developed the early versions of our Personal Health Record system eSağlıkKaydım within the scope of OSAMI-Commons ITEA project.

We implemented an extensible situational awareness system on top of Command and Control Systems for maritime surveillance in RECONSURVE ITEA project.

Public Administrations

We have been providing technical consultancy services to the Turkish Ministry of Health on implementation and testing of the gigantic national health information system, namely SağlıkNet, since 2007.

We have developed the eInvoice profile of Turkey based on UBL 2.0 together with the Revenue Administration.

We have enabled Dutch customization of UBL 2.0 business documents for the Dutch Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations through our eDoCreator tool.

Industrial Partners

We have developed a mobile Personal Health Record (PHR) platform as the R&D partner of Turkish Telecom.

We have provided technical consultancy services to tens of Hospital Information System vendors for achieving their conformance to national / international standards, e.g. HL7 CDA R2, IHE profiles, DICOM, supported through our TestBATN platform when required; and shared their success in national and international testing events such as IHE Connectathons.

We have developed a customized version of our SemanticMDR platform for a Dutch company.

Standard Development Organizations

We are both chairing the CEN Global eBusiness Interoperability Test Bed (GITB) Workshop Agreement and carrying out the core activities of architecture design and open source proof-of-concept GITB compliant testbed implementation. We are also developing implementation guidelines for post-award domain documents based on UBL 2.1 and UN/CEFACT XML in CEN Business Interoperability Interfaces (BII) Workshop Agreement.

We chaired the OASIS Semantic Support for Electronic Business Document Interoperability (SET) TC for specifying semantic mechanisms for achieving interoperability among Core Component based electronic business document standards and OASIS UBL Turkish Localization SC while developing the eInvoice content for Revenue Administration of Turkey.

We are actively involved in and serving as the technical co-chair of the IHE Quality, Research and Public Health (QRPH) domain, and have authored the Data Element Exchange (DEX) Integration Profile for developing a standardized way of querying and retrieving metadata.
